The fourth biennial Alberta Brain Injury Conference will be held in Edmonton, Alberta; April 16 through April 18, 2009 at the Shaw Conference Centre. The primary focus of the conference will be on Survivors, Families, Service Delivery and Innovations in Research, and the Implications for Programming; prevention of traumatic brain injury will also be featured. The conference steering committee welcomes submissions of papers and other materials of interest from all persons who wish to present as an individual or as a session panel presenter. There will be three primary types of sessions offered as a part of the conference:
- Service providers and others to share innovations in service delivery.
- Individuals with brain injury or their family members/caregivers to present their successes and share their journey.
- Researchers in the Brain Injury field to present their recent findings.

Friday, October 10, 2008, 4:00 PM MST.
The abstract must include the following: - Title
- Objective
- Abstract (250 words or less)
- Target Audience


All abstracts must include the requested information to be considered.
A cover page to include contact information for presenter(s). If you are submitting as a panel please include one cover page for each presenter. Each cover page must be typed or printed clearly and include:
- Presenter’s first and last name
- Place of Employment or Affiliation
- Street address
- City, Province/ State and Postal Code/Zip Code
- Contact telephone number (please include area code)
- Fax number (please include area code)
- Email address
- Name of Main contact for submission
- Abstract: 1 copy on a separate page with presenter's name and session title, maximum 250 words, typed or printed clearly.
All abstracts must be submitted on or before Friday, October 10, 2008 (MST) to the submission address via mail, email, fax or online. You will receive an email confirmation that your submission has been received.
Accepted presenter registration fees will be reduced by $100.00
